Ways To Support Your Community Association

MSG Community Association is a registered not-for-profit charity which exists to improve the lives of community members by, amongst other things, running and maintaining a Community Centre. You could support the association by becoming a Member, a Volunteer or a Trustee.  Our continuing improvements rely on raising funds through room hire fees, occasional grant funding, fundraising events, donations and community membership.  This will hopefully have a positive impact enabling us to ensure the community centre has a bright future within the village.

Become a Member - We Need You!

All membership fees are put towards the costs of running and maintaining the Community Centre for the benefit of all our community.  Adult members are entitled to vote at the AGM and other members’ meetings, in addition to which you will be entitled to 30% discount off the hire of the hall for a private party or celebration, twice a year.

Membership is open to anyone who lives, works or socialises in our community and is just £7 per year for adults, and free for under 18s.

Volunteer for us

MSG Community Association is always on the lookout for additional volunteers to join the team involved in the maintenance, running and improvement of our Community Centre and in the planning and hosting of fundraising and other events.

If you are able to offer any time or talents to help us, no matter how great or small (it’s all great to us!) we’d love to hear from you, thank you.

Please tell us how you could help and we’ll be in touch whenever there’s an opportunity to join in.

Become A Trustee

MSG Community Association is run by a team of volunteer Trustees who are committed to our community and want to see the Community Centre flourish and grow as a valuable resource in our village.  In order to deliver the best results for our community, we need a committed and diverse Board of Trustees with a broad range of skills, knowledge and experiences to help us:

  • Consider new ways of doing things
  • Reach new people within our community
  • Bring different points of view to our discussions
  • Keep up to date with developments in technology
  • Raise funds to help our ideas become reality

If the answer to any of the following questions is YES then becoming a Trustee of MSG Community Association may be the role for you.

  • Do you want to see our Community Centre and its work within our community flourish?
  • Can you see ways in which we could improve what we are currently doing?
  • Do you enjoy working as part of a team?
  • Would you be willing to spend a few hours a month building something of value within our community?

Please get in touch to find out more about becoming a Trustee – you may be just the person we’re waiting for!

Eligibility criteria - You must be over 18 and connected with our community to be considered for the role of Trustee of MSGCA.  Please note the role of Trustee is a voluntary one.
